On January 17th, McDonald’s Canada introduced a new allergy statement that indicates all products on their menu “may contain or come into contact with peanuts, tree nuts, or other allergens”.
The new allergy statement essentially means that all products in McDonald’s restaurants may contain or have come in contact with any allergen.
McDonald’s also launched the SKOR McFlurry (which contains almonds) and noted that the SKOR pieces will not be in a contained package like other nut products currently available at McDonald’s. This is one of several new products to be added to their menu.
Please sign Food Allergy Canada’s petition asking McDonald’s Canada to meet and reaffirm their commitment to their guests with food allergies.
Food Allergy Canada has published an open letter to John Betts, President & CEO of McDonald’s Canada.
